The left side is almost done, more work is needed on the front and the top. I know that the sidepanel on the real Domi isn't bulky, but I wanted some stuffing, in my eyes it looks better that way.

That's all for today, I'm restless and i need to move my body or I will start flapping my arms and run on walls.

Done for the night

The "wheels" are almost done, need to put on a few blue dots around the black lines. I also made something at the bottom of the Domi since it looked wierd without it and sine the Domi has something there. Erh.

The real Domi also has a small little man on it's belly, and I tried to replicate it, but it looks more emo than a silly homer figure. I will not change it though, I like it. This is my emo-domi.

It's late so I will not work on it anymore tonight, but I'll jump it tomorrow with needles and scissors, threads and fabrics!

Making progress

It doesn't look like much of a progress, but it's some progress at least. At the moment I'm stitching the top piece to the body, and I wil be stuffing it a bit on the 'back' of the ship.
The bigger grey iece will get some stiching in black and light blue to to enhance some lines and lights. I almost wish I had some tiny glas beads for lights, but that would be too much work I think.

This is the Domi after some stuffing. Personally I think it looks rather awesome.

Space whale coming up!

This is the main body for the Dominix. It wasn't that hard to make, except the big lumb in the front. I guess I should have stuffed it a bit more, but I got tired of it, and I was helping a corpmate with a cyno. The stupid alt don't have a good overview; it sees pilots with blue standing in space and that's not very good when I'm stuck in a cyno frigate. One of the blue had been naughty so he was showing up red.... The cyno alt is using my mission alt's OV so that's why it's a bit messed up.

Back to the Domi. I do not think I will continue working of it tonight; it's getting late and if I start something now I wont be able to stop so I'll start tomorrow.
I think I'm gonna use pattern paper and trace on it, cut the fabric and stitch the fabric to the body. After that I'm looking forward to several hours of stitching lines and "lights" on it.

Running missions with the alt, or start working on an Ishtar pattern...?

That's the layout for my Dominix, and I'm gonna try to make it look almost just like that. It will be interesting to see how I will assembly it; if I will have the sides and the top in one piece, or if I will have three peices (side, side and the middle stripe).
I know that the real Domi isn't as fat as this, but a fat Domi is better as a pillow than a thin one.

The wonderful fabrics! We have the green and grey for my Ishtars, adn the 2 gold, faux leather fabrics for the Avatar. I'm gonna try to make it HUGE, but we'll see how much filling I have left after the Domi and the Ishtars. It there's no left there's no catastrophe, it's only 29 sek a bag.

Ogre Prototype

Question: What do you do when you're bored and have nothing to do?
Answer: You knit your own Ogre.

It may look like a strange, mutated mouse, but it's not. It's a heavy Attack Drone, and though it may look cuddle it isn't really.

I do not know which yarn I used for it, but it might be some kind of mixture of wool and acrylic. Luckily I had two colours simulare to the Ogre's real colours (at least the tech 1 version), and I had some spare black DMC for making details.

It kind of looks like a skull with the dots and something that looks likes smile, and two pigtails on top of it's head.
Over and all it was fun to knit it, although I might make a pattern next time I knit one (if CCP are Ok with it, I might start selling drones for ISK). A pattern make it so much easier to keep track of the decreases and increases.

My next victim will be the Dominix, one of my favourite Battleships in EVE. It will be in shape of a pillow, probably 35 x 25 cm (14 x 10 inches). I need some more stuffing for it though, so I might head in to town and restock a bit. Chanses are that I'll buy some fabric as well, since I kind of promised to make an Avatar and an Ishtar (also one of my favourite ships).

Cheerio!
